Joseph A. Romano, Associate

Joseph A. Romano is an associate in the tax, trusts and estates group of Stern Kilcullen & Rufolo.


Mr. Romano's practice centers on tax, business, and estate planning. He has experience in maximizing the tax effectiveness of businesses and representing clients in tax controversies with the State of New Jersey and the IRS. His experience in the area of trusts and estates includes drafting various estate planning documents, as well as working with clients on complex estate matters to achieve beneficial tax outcomes.


Mr. Romano received his law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law, where he was an Associate Editor of the Seton Hall Law Review, student attorney for the Civil Litigation Clinic, and representative to the faculty budget committee. He was published in volume 48 of the Seton Hall Law Review for his comment "No Dead Giveaways: Finding a Viable Model of Ante-Mortem Probate for New Jersey."


Mr. Romano received his B.S. in Economics and Finance from Bentley University in 2014 and received his LL.M. as a Master of Laws in Taxation from New York University in 2021.


Mr. Romano is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Florida.
